1D FPS Retrospective

So, I've decided to go over this game I made and have a bit of a thought dump about the project.

So, originally there were supposed to be three different kinds of enemies, but due to my self imposed time limit and my not so good work ethic (That I'm trying to improve), I had to cut them.

The three were
1#. A slime like enemy that would harmlessly hop towards you.
2#. A flying enemy that would circle around you at a fixed distance and shoot pellets at you.
3#. A tall enemy on stilts that would shoot homing missles at you.

Only the second enemy remained and since It was the only kind of enemy, I had to make it a challenge to actually fight.

I upped their spawn rate and gave them multiple different spawn points. Due to sheer numbers, the hoard with continue to grow until you are overwhelmed. They spawn faster than you can kill them.

When I built out the game, I realised that the enemies moved a lot faster than they should've, and so did their bullets. I thought of fixing it, but decided that the faster enemies was just an unintended feature that I actually liked more.

This also made the game extremely difficult because not only did they spawn in large numbers, but it's hard to pick off single enemies since they move too fast.

This makes surviving up to the point of gaining 100 points nearly impossible, but it'd be cool to see how high of a score people can get! (Edit: Oops I guess I did it lol)

Also, I noticed the day after I uploaded the game that the music doesn't loop... oops.

That's about it! I'll see you in the next project!
